Artist's Description

On the cover of Popular Science Monthly for July, a scuba diver is featured prominently in the foreground, complete with a diving mask, snorkel, and yellow air tanks. A smaller inset scene portrays a vintage yellow car with a uniformed officer assisting at an automobile accident, and teaser texts suggest articles on building a diving lung and dealing with poison ivy. The magazine, priced at 25 cents, indicates a focus on mechanics, autos, and homebuilding.
